PROJECT OVERVIEW:

Ideal Contracting was the 3D BIM Design Build General Contractor on the new 120,000 sq ft Sequencing Facility Addition to the Fort Wayne Assembly Center in Fort Wayne Indiana. The new 45 bay steel building was built on a foundation comprised of concrete caissons, grade beams, and pile caps, with an insulated foam panel wall system. The building included 17 truck docks with overhead doors and dock levelers as well as 2-grade level truck doors. Also part of the project were interior masonry restrooms, team rooms, new & relocated site utilities, site concrete/asphalt paving and site landscaping The new building serves two functions, one as a warehouse in approx half the space and the balance as a parts sequencing area for the new truck line. Working with Ghafari Associates, the project took eight months to complete and was finished on-schedule and under budget.
