PROJECT OVERVIEW:

Ideal Contracting completed a major renovation to portions of the GM Ypsilanti Transmission Operations (YTO) Facility in Willow Run Michigan. The work focused on the employee service areas and included a new 12,000 sq ft kitchen cafeteria, employee dining area, in-plant medical clinic, administrative offices, employee locker rooms and a new employee entrance. The project was split into 3 major phases to work around owner’s ongoing plant operations. Ideal Contracting coordinated the temporary relocation of employees, coordinated the work of 29 subcontractors and self-performed the interior carpentry and the miscellaneous steel.
