Ideal employees embody the company’s core values both in the office and out on the field. When one of our team members goes above and beyond, we like to take the time to commend them. Last week, one of our Laborers, Paul Mulligan, demonstrated the importance of integrity in the workplace.

While working with the team at the Toyota Ann Arbor job site, he came across an endorsed check for a large amount in the parking lot. He took the check to the site safety representative who then contacted Toyota leadership. Paul said, “Immediately, I knew I should turn it in. If I were the one to have lost it, I would hope someone would do the same.”

Paul is a Laborer/Grade Checker for Ideal Contracting and has worked at the new building addition at the Toyota site in Ann Arbor since June of last year. In his spare time, Paul has been preparing his house for his new baby boy due to arrive in May. Some of his hobbies include softball, hunting, and shooting guns with friends.

Before finding his calling in construction, Paul was an ordained minister. He greatly enjoys his time at Ideal. He says, “Working for Ideal has been great so far. I’ve enjoyed getting to know everyone from management and safety, to the guys that I get to work with every day. Ideal definitely cares about their employees.”
